Q. How long will it take to set up my hosting account?
A. Your web hosting account will, in most cases be set up immediately through our hosting shopping cart, otherwise it will be up within 24 hours. Your domain name however (if you have ordered one) , although registered immediately, may take from 24 to 72 hours to appear on the internet.
Q. Can I buy a domain name without buying hosting?
A. Yes you can, although if you want a hosting account you have to have a domain to map to it (either transferred or purchased).
Q. Can I transfer a domain I already own to you?
A. Yes you can, through our customer centre, or please contact us for details
Q. Are there any setup fees?
A. No setup fees at all on hosting. The price of the package is all you pay.
Q. Do I get an Invoice?
A. Yes, every time you buy a product from us we will email you an invoice if needed.
Q. Do you charge VAT?
A. At present we are not charging VAT on hosting so all prices are what you actually pay. Our SMS service is billed through a telecom company so VAT is applicable to SMS
Q. Is there a shortcut to the domain control panel?
A. Yes, type in dcp.byte-
Q. Can I only get my email through my Extend control Panel?
A. No, you can also check your mail via webmail if you have a hosting account with us. Access your emails by typing webmail.yourdomain.co.uk into your browser, just enter your email address and your password which you set up in your control panel. alternatively you can download your emails using a POP3 client such as Microsoft outlook.

Q. How do I share files without the person I'm sending them to having to log in?
A. Simply select the file and then click on the get a link icon to the right and copy the link to email to the person you wish to share the file with.

Q. My BYTE Drive won't connect and its asking to update, what do I do?
A. We release new software updates from time to time to make sure the BYTE Drive
software is always up to date with new fixes and features -
Q. Can I download the latest BYTE Smart drive software?
A. Yes just click here to download. you may need to do this if the updating above doesn't show up in the updates tab
Q. Can i put anything on my website?
A. No, we don't overly restrict you, but we don't allow certain items; such as Warez or any adult site material. (for more details see our terms and conditions). We also ask the site content is made into linkable web pages and not used as a file store if you do require online file storage space please see our BYTE Drive
Q. Do you provide technical support?
A. Yes we do in a number of ways. The main support database is located in your control panel this contains most of the trouble shooting advice you will ever probably need. Under the Support section we also have our support forum where our clients can offer advice to each other.
